Our family practice dental services

Annual Dental Exams

Routine dental exams are essential for maintaining oral health. During these visits, we check for cavities, gum disease, and other potential issues, helping you catch problems early and keep your smile healthy all year long.

Dental Cleanings

Our thorough cleanings remove plaque, tartar, and stains, promoting healthy teeth and gums. Regular cleanings also help prevent tooth decay and gum disease, leaving your mouth feeling fresh and your smile looking its best.

Dental X-Rays

We use advanced digital X-rays to get a closer look at your teeth and underlying structures. These images help us detect issues such as cavities, impacted teeth, and bone loss that aren’t visible during a regular exam.

Fluoride Treatment

Fluoride treatments strengthen tooth enamel and provide an extra layer of protection against cavities. This simple, painless procedure is great for both kids and adults, especially those prone to decay.

Oral Cancer Screenings

Early detection of oral cancer can save lives. Our screenings involve a careful examination of your mouth, looking for any signs of abnormalities. We are committed to your health and peace of mind.

TMJ Treatment

If you suffer from jaw pain, headaches, or difficulty chewing, you may have a TMJ disorder. Our treatments offer relief through custom therapies designed to ease discomfort and improve jaw function.

Special Needs Dentistry

We provide compassionate, personalized care for individuals with special needs. Our team is trained to accommodate sensory-sensitive patients and those with unique dental care requirements in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Pregnancy Dental Care

Oral health is especially important during pregnancy. We offer specialized care to expectant mothers, focusing on preventing gum disease and maintaining a healthy smile throughout pregnancy.

Senior Dental Care

Aging brings new dental challenges, but we’re here to help. Our senior dental care services include everything from routine exams to dentures, ensuring comfort and maintaining oral health at every stage of life.

Teen and Young Adult

Adolescents and young adults have unique dental needs. From braces to wisdom tooth assessments, we offer specialized care to help them transition into adulthood with a healthy, confident smile.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I schedule a dental check-up?

It is recommended to visit the dentist every six months for a routine exam and cleaning. Regular check-ups help prevent oral health issues like cavities and gum disease by catching them early. However, some patients with specific conditions, such as gum disease or orthodontic appliances, may need more frequent visits.

Why are dental X-rays necessary?

Dental X-rays are essential for detecting issues that are not visible during a routine exam, such as cavities between teeth, impacted teeth, and bone loss. Digital X-rays are safe, producing minimal radiation exposure, and are a vital tool for diagnosing dental problems early before they become severe.

What’s the difference between a dental cleaning and a deep cleaning?

A regular dental cleaning (prophylaxis) removes plaque and tartar above the gum line to maintain oral health. A deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) is a more intensive procedure used to treat gum disease, focusing on removing bacteria from below the gum line and smoothing the tooth roots to promote healing.

How does fluoride treatment help protect my teeth?

Fluoride strengthens tooth enamel, making it more resistant to acid attacks from plaque bacteria and sugars. It’s especially beneficial for children, but adults prone to decay can also benefit. Fluoride treatments during regular check-ups provide an extra layer of protection against cavities.

What to Expect From Your First Visit

Your initial dental exam is a thorough, diagnostic-focused visit that includes detailed imaging (inside and outside of your mouth), a CBCT scan for 3D views of your teeth and jaws, and a comprehensive exam with your dentist. We’ll assess key areas such as teeth alignment, muscle and joint health, soft tissue, occlusion, past trauma, periodontal health, and signs of sleep apnea. Please note that no cleaning is performed during this first exam, as we focus on gathering the full scope of your oral health to tailor a personalized care plan.
